It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

From holiday parties to New Year’s Eve, glamorous party wear and high shine fabrics - now is your time to shine! And I mean that literally. Shimmer and sparkle in sequins, bold metallics, and colorful satins this season and all eyes will be on you! Sequins, satins, or silk? Compliment either with head-turning pieces like faux fur in bright bold colors or keep it natural and you will steal the show!
As always, you can never go wrong with a little black dress, almost ever. The holidays give way for the perfect occasion to whip it out of the closet and give it a whirl! Jazz it up with a statement piece or a classic bold lip or keep it minimal, sleek and chic. Black is timeless and sophisticated, and will never go out of style.
Is that velvet? Why yes it is. A trend from the past, how long will it last? Velvet was one of the falls hottest trends proving to be a red carpet staple even leading into the winter months and early spring. Velvet can be easily paired with blue jeans or worn separately in bright colored eye-catching hues. If I were to guess, velvet doesn’t seem to be going anywhere!
Just because you have an ostomy doesn’t mean you can’t partake in the holiday festivities, and by festivities, I mean dressing the part. You may have to make modifications but that’s about it. I will say this, simply because I receive a lot of inquiries about having an ostomy and being able to wear the clothing that I want. If you have an ostomy, chances are you will see your ostomy in whatever you wear. Yes, it is possible to conceal it, but sometimes you may not be able to conceal it completely. At some point, you just have to decide that you don’t care. And my hope is that you become comfortable in your own skin in your own time. Fashion is being able to wear what you want and being comfortable and confident. Experiment with different pieces - see what fits you and your personality best. Blending in isn’t always in style. There is no need to always fit in with the crowd. Be the crowd!
It’s the holidays, stand out, shine bright, and remember, the sparkle depends on the flaws in a diamond!😀
